Our Summer Theatre Camp welcomes all students entering 3rd-8th grades and all skill levels. From the beginner to the experienced, and the shy to the rambunctious, everyone has a place in theatre.

Your High School Filmmaker will flourish at this 8-day intensive with local filmmaker and University Professor, Chris Hartwell. Over the course of the camp, he will take your beginning filmmaker to the next level, covering story development on every level. Story is at the root of everything we do, and your student will learn to master starting with a premise, building characters and dialogue, and writing a script that visually and thematically captures the audience’s attention. Then the camp moves into production as Professor Hartwell teaches on-set protocols, lighting, cameras, and sound equipment, and then finally transitioning into all things post-production. The camp culminates when students write, shoot, and screen their very own short film.
